Skin Boosters
Skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid which act to improve skin density through hydration and give greater skin volume and elasticity, creating a smoother appearance to the skin.
Every adult ‘s skin can be treated, with the best results seen between the ages of 30-75 years. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the skin, but as we age, this natural product is depleted, and we are unable to produce enough to maintain skin hydration, elasticity, and firmness. Hyaluronic acid is injected into the dermis (under the uppermost layer of skin – the epidermis) to promote skin hydration, giving volume and elasticity.
Hyaluronic acid is a water-loving particle, which means that it draws water into skin cells and therefore plumps the cell to give some volume. Elasticity is improved by the stimulation of collagen and this improves skin structure and appearance.
There are several products available which achieve this boost, and dependent upon your goal and skin appearance, will be pivotal in selecting the right product for you.
Any area of the body can be treated with skin boosters such as face, including eye area and chin, neck and decolletage, hands and arms. Each area will have its own treatment regimen to achieve the best outcome. It is highly recommended to follow the suggested regimen.
